Microneedling, with radiofrequency underneath
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin while RF heat is delivered beneath the surface.
That deeper energy prompts the skin to remodel and build collagen over the following weeks. It is used on the face and on areas of the body, and it does not involve surgery or incisions.

How it works
Treatment
A topical numbing preparation is applied first. The treatment itself takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes depending on the areas covered, and is performed in our office.
Recovery & results
Redness and swelling typically settle within a few days. Because the skin remodels gradually, changes build over roughly three months, often across a short series of sessions.

What to expect
- Redness and swelling for a few days after treatment.
- Temporary pinpoint marks, dryness or mild flaking as the skin recovers.
- Possible bruising, tenderness or short-term changes in skin tone.
- Most people return to normal activity the next day; makeup is usually delayed 24 hours.
- Rarely, energy-based treatments can cause blistering, infection, or changes in pigmentation or scarring.
Who is not a candidate
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- An implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator.
- Active skin infection, open lesions or inflammation in the treatment area.
- Certain skin conditions, keloid scarring history, or recent isotretinoin use.
- Some medications and medical histories — which is why we review yours first.

Does it hurt?
A topical numbing preparation is applied before the treatment to keep you comfortable. Most people describe a warm, prickling sensation during the session. Afterwards the area usually feels like a mild sunburn for a day or two.
How many sessions will I need?
A short series is typical rather than a single session, with treatments spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on your skin and your goals, and we will give you an honest estimate at the consultation rather than a fixed package sold in advance.
When will I see results?
Because the treatment works by prompting your skin to remodel, changes appear gradually and typically continue to develop over about three months. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Is there downtime?
Expect redness and some swelling for a few days. Most people return to normal activity the following day and wait about 24 hours before wearing makeup. We give you written aftercare instructions to take home.
Who is a good candidate?
Generally, adults looking to firm or smooth skin without surgery who are comfortable with a short series of sessions. It is not appropriate during pregnancy, for people with an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker, or where there is active infection or inflammation in the treatment area. Candidacy is determined at your consultation.
